New meeting Starting on August 1, 07 8:30-9:45 ST. FRANCIS MISSION,
New meeting starting on August 1st at St. Francis Mission 8:30-9:45pm the name of the meeting is called "In the Beginning"
We are going to be studying and discussing the Bible, Emmet Fox's "Sermon on the Mount" and the early readings that they were reading while they were getting ready to write the Big Book. And we will be reading the Big Book.
It is not an AA meeting. It is an AA study group and we will have the agenda to focus on the "One Thing", and for more to be revealed to us.
Every meeting will start with the 1st Chapter of Genesis in the Bible that starts with "In the Beginning....." Then it will be followed with a prayer (to be chosen by chairperson).
I believe that with an open minded approach to studying what our founding fathers were reading on a daily basis, that we will help insure we are on the list for the rocket ship ride and on our way to the 4th dimension!
At the very least. We will get to see men we love and talk about God!

Steve:
Awsome idea!
I only wish it wasn't on the same night as AA softball! And I have to tell you, I have even thought of giving up softball to be at this meeting ( and for those who know me well, you know that's huge - that would be like Giunta or Brian taking a Saturday morning meeting commitment and skipping golf! LOL!), but then cooler heads prevailed, as I was reminded of the inherent value of the fellowship of the AA softball team.
So, I guess I'll just have to make it down on rainout nights and the offseason! LOL!
Two other things:
1) I have a name for your meeting if you haven't already named it:
"The Path"
...as in, "Rarely have we seena a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path..."
2) Has St. Francis moved?
Someone told me they no longer meet at the location on 8th Street downtown. Please confirm or deny and if you confirm, please provide directions to the new location.
Have a blessed day, Armen
