  James 4: 7-10
7- Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8- Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. 9- Lament and mourn and weep! Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to gloom. 10- Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.

Old Time AA

For years my sponsor has been speaking of "old time AA" (along with Jimmy Marino, Joe McCoy and Ed Holland) and recovery rates at 75%, etc. They of course, have been drilling the one messsage into my thick head since my first month sober. It took me the first few years to shed my prejudice but He gave me the ultimate willingness to an open mind. The beauty of our program is He comes to us when we are ready not when someone tells us when it should happen.
